Once we get your completed intake form back, we have to register your new phone number under what's called "A2P 10DLC". Once they approve the application we can activate your texting features. This can take anywhere from a couple hours to a few weeks, and is completely out of our control (this is true of every business in the US as of July 5th, 2023 due to the major phone carriers coming together and agreeing that spam texts need to be regulated better). The phone calls will work immediately, but we recommend not advertising this number (continue using your current phone number) until this one is approved for SMS usage.
Yes, it's 100% compliant. Do NOT use this system for sending cold texts or spam. We keep this system compliant with the use of an opt-out message at the bottom of the first message sent to any new contact (reply STOP to opt-out).
Not at all. We will get you set up in the system and submit your new phone number for approval. Only AFTER you're approved will we initiate the 7 day free trial.
Unfortunately not. We don't have a way to link your phone number and have the system function properly. When someone calls your current phone number, the system will not be able to send the automated follow up texts. Only when they call the new number we will set you up with in our system. There will be multiple options of phone number you can choose from within our system, all with your desired area code. Once your new number is registered and approved, you'll want to update your advertised phone number to get the most out of our system (website, ads, business cards, etc.). Your current phone number will not be affected in any way, so past customers will still be able to contact you on your current phone number just as they always have. When that happens , we encourage youto give them your updated phone number so any calls you miss from them in the future also get the automated follow up texts.
Phone calls via the new number will be forwarded to your phone via the Lead Connector app. This will not interfere with leads or customers calling your current phone number in any way. However calls missed on your current phone number will not receive the automated text follow up.
Every month you get $15 worth of voice and SMS credits included, and unused credits roll over to the following month. This equates to about 1,260 texts, 1,171 minutes of calls, or a combination of the two. If you go over that, it's about 1 cent per text and 1.5 cents per minute of voice. We've never had anyone go over their included credits, and most have quite a bit roll over.
Currently, we're only accepting businesses that have an EIN. This is because the phone carriers can process new applications automatically. Sole prop businesses are currently being reviewd manually, taking up to 6 months in some cases. These restrictions from the phone carriers are relatively new, and thus they are getting overwhelmed with applications to review manually at this time. In the near future we expect manual review times to decrease dramatically, at which point we will begin accepting sole prop businesses.
